It's official, having completed my Culinary Arts Certificate in 2006, I am now enrolled in the one year Pastry Arts Program at L'Academie de Cuisine.

Just kidding...

Actually, as many of you know I got called back to Freddie Mac in March 2007 as a consultant to head up the Data Management Group for a couple of months, which ended up being a year.  I then took this summer to work on opening a restaurant in Maryland and came frighteningly close to signing the lease about a month ago.  Thankfully that deal fell through just before the stock market did what most of my cheese souffles do.  I think I'll save the restaurant thing for retirement.

As of a week or so ago, I decided it is time to get a job.  I checked around, and all the 9-5 restaurant jobs pulling down six figures appear to have suddenly dried up, so I want to go back to my other passion, IT.  I dutifully updated my resume and loaded it at Career Builder, where they immediately analyzed it with some pretty sophisticated software and informed me that Red Robin is looking for Line Cooks and my local Quiznos needs a manager.

Hmmm, this might be harder than I thought...
